DataSafe PS Net will backup all the data of your choosing and prevent its loss due to hardware failure, natural catastrophe or user experience. It also makes a great tool for data storage and archiving. You can backup single files, or complete folders along with the sub-folders. This to insure that all your data has been saved from a catastrophic event. The data backup mechanism will backup your data to any drive or partition on your computer or network where you have write permission. One important function of this program is that your data is stored on your system and not somewhere on the internet, where anyone can have access to it. Your data, secured on your network, will not end up seen by unauthorized eyes when you use DataSafe PS Net. Wouldn't you hate to store your data online on some internet host, only to have a hacker claim it as his own, or corrupt your files. Even better, or worse, depending on your point of view, is to have some law enforcement agency subpoena files from your internet online storage host and your data ends up being scrutinized by prying eyes? And what about that disgruntled employee? That won't happen when you use DataSafe PS Net. This program will back up your data to any directory on your network where you have write privileges, or to a second hard drive on your single PC. Archiving allows you to store multiple instances of your data. You can set the number of instances to archive, from indefinite to a set amount. DataSafe PS Net will automatically check the archives and delete your files when the set number of archives for a specific piece of data has been met, starting with the oldest and working its way up. This function is also useful for comparing older data to what you are now working with. The maintenance function restores your data to its original position. It could be restored from the last backup, or from one of the multiple archives
