ShutDown NOW! kann auf verschiedene Art und Weise WIN: 95/98/ME/NT4/2000/XP komfortabel, professionell und sicher herunterfahren. Zudem können automatisch Wechselmedien beim Herunterfahren, oder während der Arbeit mit Windows (z.B. über systemweit verfügbare Kurzwahltasten), ausgeworfen werden. Davon abgesehen, gibt es ferner eine Pa�wort-Funktion, die die in MS-Windows eingebauten Sicherheitsfeatures aktivieren - und au�erdem auch alle Programmabläufe auf drei unterschiedlichen Sicherheitsebenen absichern kann. Besonders erwähnenswert ist die Zusammenarbeit mit dem �berwachungs-Tool "MotherBoard Monitor", von Alex van Kaam, die es ermöglicht, den Rechner bei �berhitzung, oder aufgrund eines Defektes, automatisch abzuschalten, oder in den Standby/Suspend/Ruhezustand Modus zu bringen.
